PORTLAND, Maine – April 20, 2022, will be remembered as a day of chaos and terror for one brave federal officer in Augusta, Maine. Derik Broox Wight, a 41-year-old resident of the city, allegedly stormed into the Edmund S. Muskie Federal Building armed with a knife and launched a vicious assault on a security officer contracted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service.
