Descott Thomas Fedee, Unlawful Possession of Firearm, West Virginia 2021

A Martinsburg man has admitted to a firearms charge, according to a recent guilty plea. Descott Thomas Fedee, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Unlawful Possession of Firearm’.

Fedee, a person prohibited from having firearms because of a prior conviction, admitted to having a .380 caliber pistol in May 2021 in Berkeley County.

The charges against Fedee stem from a May 2021 incident in Berkeley County where he was found to be in possession of a firearm despite being prohibited from doing so. Fedee faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000.

Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberley D. Crockett is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives investigated.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided over the case. Fedee’s sentencing has not yet been scheduled, but he is facing up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

Fedee, a Martinsburg resident, is currently awaiting sentencing. The exact date of his sentencing has not been announced. According to the charges, Fedee was found to be in possession of a firearm despite being prohibited from doing so due to a prior conviction.

The case against Fedee is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberley D. Crockett. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, & Explosives investigated the case.
