HARRISON COUNTY, W.VA. – Federal prosecutors dropped the hammer on Detroit’s Malik Rashard Fikes, also known as ‘Face,’ today, sentencing him to 78 months behind bars for his role in a ruthless drug trafficking ring.
The feds charged Fikes with leading an operation that pumped methamphetamine and fentanyl into Harrison County. Neighbors spoke of the chaos, with dealers lurking on every corner, selling death on the streets.
U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey had this to say: ‘Fikes’s reign of terror is over. His sentence sends a clear message that drug trafficking in our communities will not be tolerated.’
Fikes’s organization was ruthless and efficient, moving large quantities of drugs from Detroit to West Virginia, a pipeline for distribution across the region.
Law enforcement officials praised the coordinated effort between local and federal agencies, which led to Fikes’s downfall. ‘This sentence is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our officers,’ said an official with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
With this major conviction, the community of Harrison County hopes for a brighter future, free from the shadow of drug trafficking. Fikes’s sentence serves as a stark reminder that federal prosecutors are serious about taking down organized crime networks.
