L.R.G.P. Gang Member Gets 70 Months in Prison for Crack Cocaine Crimes

BUFFALO, NY – Dijaon Bland, a 25-year-old man from Buffalo, has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for his involvement in a conspiracy to possess and distribute crack cocaine.

Bland was found guilty of the charges in a federal court and was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. He was a member of the L.R.G.P., a violent street gang that operated on the East Side of Buffalo.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas S. Duszkiewicz, Bland was one of the key players in the gang’s operation, selling crack cocaine from a ‘trap house’ on Memorial Drive in Buffalo. The house was run by Bland’s cousin and L.R.G.P. leader Dewayne Gray.

This conviction marks the fifth for an L.R.G.P. member in this case, with 11 others also facing charges for their involvement in the crack cocaine trade. The investigation into the gang was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force, which included local law enforcement agencies from across the Buffalo area.

The case against Bland and the L.R.G.P. is a significant blow to the gang’s operation and a testament to the tireless efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat violent street gangs and the drug trade. Bland’s sentence serves as a reminder of the consequences of engaging in such activities.
