As part of the indictment, Dorsey was charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, maintaining a drug-involved premises, and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities. The program fosters trust and legitimacy in communities, supports community-based organizations, sets focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measures results.

Dorsey’s sentencing is scheduled for February 27, 2025. The U.S. Attorney’s Office praised the work of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Louisiana State Police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the New Orleans Police Department in bringing Dorsey to justice.

The mandatory special assessment fee for the three counts is $300, with a minimum of $100 for each count. The total fine could reach $10,000,000, and the maximum imprisonment term is up to life.
