BANK HEIST ROCKS HARRISBURG
A brazen bank robbery shook the streets of Harrisburg, PA, as 22-year-old Dylan Blum allegedly passed a threatening note to a teller at Mid Penn Bank on North Front Street. The daring heist netted Blum a cool $1,358 in cash.
According to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith, Blum’s bold move was caught on camera, leaving authorities with a clear picture of the suspect.
Blum was taken into custody by the Harrisburg Police Department on January 3, 2015, after turning himself in. The FBI assisted in the investigation, helping to bring the young suspect to justice.
Assistant U.S. Attorney William A. Behe has been assigned to prosecute the case, which is now moving forward in U.S. District Court in Harrisburg.
The maximum penalty for the crime carries a 20-year prison sentence, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release following imprisonment. However, the actual sentence will be determined by the judge, taking into account various factors, including the defendant’s history and the nature of the offense.
Blum’s fate will be decided in the courtroom, where he will face the music for his alleged crime. The community is holding its breath, waiting to see what the outcome will be.
