A shocking act of violence has shaken the quiet town of Eagle Butte, South Dakota. On January 2013, 32-year-old Stanley Morrison unleashed a brutal attack on an unsuspecting victim, striking them with his fists and leaving them with serious bodily injury.

The investigation into the assault was led by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Division, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Mikal Hanson handling the prosecution.
