Alieu Jarjou, Murder in Bronx, New York 2021

Alieu Jarjou, a 30-year-old Bronx resident and member of the Rollin 20s Crips gang, was charged with murder in aid of racketeering, among other crimes, in connection with the March 9, 2021, killing of 30-year-old Jadon Robinson in the Bronx.

According to an indictment unsealed in Manhattan federal court, Jarjou, also known as ‘Scally,’ shot and killed Robinson on Morrison Avenue in the Bronx during the day. The indictment alleges that Jarjou committed the murder to enhance his status within the Rollin 20s Crips, a violent street gang that traffics in illegal drugs.

The charges against Jarjou include racketeering conspiracy, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison; murder in aid of racketeering, which carries a mandatory life sentence or death; murder through the use of a firearm, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison; and using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, which also carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

The case is being handled by the Office’s Violent and Organized Crime Unit. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christy Slavik and Jim Ligtenberg are in charge of the prosecution.

The charges contained in the indictment are merely accusations, and Jarjou is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The NYPD is being praised for their outstanding investigative work in the case.

Jarjou was in New York City Department of Correction custody, but was transferred to federal custody earlier today and made his initial appearance in federal court in Manhattan.

The case is assigned to U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos.
