COLUMBIA, S.C., February 20, 2024 – In a shocking case of pension theft, Effie Mae Youmans, 71, of Columbia, has pleaded guilty to stealing a dead relative’s pension benefits. According to investigators, the Savannah River Nuclear Site (SRNS) continued to make pension payments to the deceased retiree’s account without being informed of the death.
