U.S. Attorney Matthew L. Harvey and U.S. Attorney Moore Capito, in collaboration with Modell Consulting, have partnered to offer a two-day training to further the Department of Justice’s Elder Justice Initiative. The West Virginia SAFE (Safe and Accessible Forensic Interviewing with Elders) program aims to equip local law enforcement and healthcare professionals with the tools and resources needed to identify and prosecute elder abuse cases.
The training, held at the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia, brings together experts from the Department of Justice, law enforcement, and healthcare to share best practices and strategies for combating elder abuse.
