Oklahoma residents can rest assured that the Justice Department has their backs on election day, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Assistant United States Attorney Charles M. McLoughlin, who has been appointed as the District Election Officer for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
As part of the Justice Department’s nationwide Election Day Program, AUSA McLoughlin will be on duty to receive complaints of election fraud and voting rights abuses on November 8, 2016. His goal is to ensure that every citizen can vote without interference or discrimination and have their vote counted without it being stolen.
United States Attorney Danny C. Williams, Sr. emphasized that the Justice Department takes election fraud very seriously and will act promptly and aggressively to protect the integrity of the election process. ‘The franchise is the cornerstone of American democracy,’ he said.
