WILLIAMSPORT, PA – A Shamokin man has been charged with fentanyl distribution in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, according to a recent indictment.
Eric Clark, 32, of Shamokin, Pennsylvania, was indicted on August 18, 2022, by a federal grand jury on drug trafficking charges, alleging that he distributed quantities of fentanyl on June 1, 2022, and again on August 3, 2022, in Northumberland County.
According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, the indictment alleges that Clark distributed quantities of fentanyl on June 1, 2022, and again on August 3, 2022, in Northumberland County.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Shamokin Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney George J. Rocktashel is prosecuting the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
The maximum penalty under federal law for this offense is 20 years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine.
A sentence following a finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
