MARTINSBURG, WV – A Berkeley County man has admitted to an unlawful firearms charge, leaving him facing up to 10 years in prison and a significant fine.

Eric Timothy Gray, 54, of Inwood, West Virginia, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Unlawful Possession of a Firearm’ in a Martinsburg court. The charges stem from January 2020, when Gray was found to be in possession of a rifle despite having prior felony convictions, which prohibit him from owning firearms.

According to court documents, Gray’s possession of the rifle makes him a threat to public safety. This conviction is the culmination of an investigation led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
