WASHINGTON — In a bold move to reshape its leadership, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has announced key personnel changes, elevating John F. Vogel and Jessica A. Kaemingk to regional director positions while welcoming Lisa K. Roy as Deputy Director of Operations.
Vogel, an FDIC veteran with over three decades of experience, takes the helm as Regional Director of the New York Region effective January 14, 2024. He brings a wealth of leadership expertise from his previous roles as Deputy Director of Operations in RMS and Acting Atlanta Regional Director. Vogel’s appointment fills the vacancy left by Frank R. Hughes’s retirement.
Kaemingk, another esteemed FDIC member since 2001, assumes her new role as Regional Director of the Kansas City Region starting May 5, 2024. Her extensive background includes serving as RMS Deputy Regional Director and Acting Deputy Director of Operations in RMS, Washington Office. Kaemingk succeeds James D. LaPierre upon his retirement.
Joining the FDIC’s Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS) is Lisa K. Roy, who takes on the role of Deputy Director, Operations. With nearly three decades of service and a focus on strategic planning and financial management, Roy brings a wealth of executive experience to the table. Her previous roles include RMS Associate Director, Operations and Special Projects.
This shake-up at the FDIC underscores its commitment to enhancing risk management and consumer protection across its regions. The new appointments are set to take effect on May 5, 2024.
