Flones Charged with Racketeering, Money Laundering, Florida 2022
Flones, a defendant with ties to a notorious crime syndicate, faces up to 20 years in prison after being charged with racketeering and money laundering in a federal court case out of Florida.
According to court documents, Flones was indicted by a grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on February 24, 2022. The indictment alleges that Flones was a key player in a large-scale racketeering scheme, using the proceeds to fund lavish lifestyles and investments.
Flones is accused of conspiring with other high-ranking members of the syndicate to commit a series of crimes, including extortion, money laundering, and violent crime. The indictment also alleges that Flones used shell companies and offshore accounts to launder millions of dollars in illicit proceeds.
The case against Flones is part of a broader investigation into the syndicate’s activities, which have spanned multiple states and involved numerous arrests and indictments in recent years.
Flones’ defense team has yet to comment on the charges, but sources close to the case say that Flones is likely to plead not guilty and fight the charges in court. The trial is expected to begin in the coming months.
In a statement, federal prosecutors said that Flones and his co-conspirators had “used every trick in the book” to evade law enforcement and conceal their illicit activities. “We will not tolerate this kind of organized crime in our communities,” the statement read.
