In a brazen and well-rehearsed holdup, four masked men stormed the Food Fair Super Market on Naylor Road SE in Washington D.C. last night, making off with a staggering $9,000 in cash and checks.
According to eyewitnesses, the manager, William H. Soper, 44, was forced to open the safe at gunpoint, handing over the loot to the bandits. The three clerks on duty, John England, 17, James Brown, 19, and Edward Repert, 18, were left shaken but unharmed.
The would-be thieves, reportedly well-organized and well-equipped, made their escape in a car driven by Brown, leaving Soper to make his way back to his own vehicle, which was parked nearby.
Police were quick to respond, and a manhunt was launched to track down the perpetrators. The investigation is ongoing, but officials say that the suspects were ‘apparently well-rehearsed’ in their crime.
As the community reels from the shocking robbery, residents are left wondering how such a brazen crime could occur in the nation’s capital. The Food Fair Super Market, a beloved institution in the neighborhood, has been left reeling from the loss.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward, as they work to track down the four men responsible for the daring heist.
As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: the citizens of Washington D.C. will not tolerate such brazen crimes. The police are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice, and the community is rallying behind them.
