Abusive Sexual Contact Plagues White River Community
White River, SD – A shocking plea has left residents of White River, South Dakota reeling as Francisco White Buffalo, 35, pleaded guilty to Abusive Sexual Contact. The harrowing incident unfolded on August 15, 2012.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is 10 years in custody, a $250,000 fine or both; life of supervised release; and a $100 special assessment.
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services conducted the investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Marie H. Ruettgers leading the case.
A presentence investigation was ordered, and a sentencing date was set for June 3, 2013. The defendant was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending sentencing.
