Frank David Francis Boy, Assaults, Montana 2023

A brutal East Glacier resident has been held accountable for his heinous crimes. Frank David Francis Boy, 25, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for two separate assaults on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.

According to court documents, the first incident occurred on September 18, 2022. Boy had been drinking with friends in East Glacier before attending a house party in Browning. The victim, a local resident, was arm-wrestled by Boy before the two got into a wrestling match. The disagreement escalated, and Boy was asked to leave the premises. However, he refused and turned around, stabbing the victim several times in the shoulder and back areas.

The victim was flown to a Great Falls hospital for treatment of injuries. The second assault occurred on March 22, 2023. Boy and his companions were driving around when they stopped in the middle of an intersection in East Glacier. The victim, who was reclined in the front passenger seat, fell asleep. Another passenger told Boy that the victim would assault her later, which may have initiated the assault. Boy stopped the vehicle and began assaulting the victim, striking him repeatedly in the face and causing serious injuries.

The victim was also flown to a Great Falls hospital for treatment of injuries. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kalah A. Paisley prosecuted the cases, while the Bureau of Indian Affairs, FBI, and Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services conducted the investigations.

Chief U.S. District Judge Brian M. Morris presided over the case. The sentence, which includes three years of supervised release, will be served by Boy after his prison term.

The Blackfeet Indian Reservation has been plagued by violent crimes in recent years. This sentence serves as a reminder that those who commit such heinous acts will face severe consequences.
