A brutal assault at the Federal Correctional Center in Oakdale, Louisiana, has landed a 49-year-old inmate behind bars. Frank Quinton Gaitor, 49, a resident of the correctional facility, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one count of assault within maritime and territorial jurisdiction.
The assault, which left a fellow inmate with serious bodily injuries, occurred on January 2, 2016. Gaitor intentionally struck the inmate, causing significant harm.
Gaitor’s plea will become final when accepted by U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter. The court has scheduled a sentencing date of April 17, 2018.
