Fred Suchan, Oxycodone Distribution, New York 2010

BUFFALO, N.Y. – A West Seneca man has pleaded guilty to distributing oxycodone in a commercial parking lot in Orchard Park, according to federal authorities.

Fred Suchan, 33, pleaded guilty to distribution of oxycodone before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank T. Pimentel, Suchan sold or attempted to sell OxyContin and Opana tablets to an undercover police officer on three dates in September and October 2010. The sales took place in a commercial parking lot on Abbott Road in Orchard Park.

On the last occasion, officers seized a 9 mm rifle, a loaded 9 mm magazine, and additional 9 mm ammunition from Suchan’s vehicle.

The plea is the result of an investigation on the part of the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of James J. Hunt, Special Agent in Charge, New York Field Division, and the Orchard Park Police Department, under the direction of Chief Mark Pacholec.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 10, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. before Judge Arcara. Suchan, a 33-year-old West Seneca resident, will face a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $1,000,000 fine.

The crime itself occurred in September and October 2010. The charges against Suchan are for distribution of oxycodone. As for the outcome, Suchan has pleaded guilty and will face sentencing on December 10, 2015. The dollar amount involved is $1,000,000, which is the maximum fine for the crime.
