HOUSTON – Aryion Dupree Jackson, a 24-year-old Houston resident with ties to Crosby, has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for sex trafficking and conspiracy, announced U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.
Jackson pleaded guilty on December 19, 2022, in two separate cases involving the sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy to traffic an adult female by force, fraud, or coercion.
Today, U.S. District Judge Lee Rosenthal handed down a sentence of 324 months for Jackson, who will also serve 15 years of supervised release after his prison term. The judge emphasized that while Jackson’s childhood was troubled, it does not justify his crimes against the innocent children he exploited.
Hamdani declared, “Young women and girls are not commodities to be sold for the financial benefit of gang members.” He called on communities to remain vigilant in combating human trafficking.
Between August 2019 and July 2020, Jackson forced both minors and adults into commercial sex. He used violence against his victims, including tattooing a minor with his brand after forcing her into sex for money. The adult victim was trafficked for over a month, earning at least $1000 a day for Jackson.
As a documented gang member, Jackson’s image appeared on a wanted billboard for aggravated sexual assault and he maintained several Instagram accounts discussing his criminal activities. Despite being in custody, he continued to control victims through phone calls and was caught with cell phones and drugs.
Jackson is awaiting transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility after being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Sherri L. Zack and Kimberly Ann Leo. The Human Trafficking Rescue Alliance (HTRA) conducted the investigation, involving numerous law enforcement agencies including the Houston Police Department, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and more.
HTRA was established in 2004 to target human traffickers and assist victims, serving as a model for national and international efforts against human trafficking.
