Former U.S. Representative George Santos has had his 7-year prison sentence commuted by former President Donald Trump. Santos was convicted of federal fraud charges in 2023 in the Eastern District of New York.
The charges against Santos included making false statements to the Federal Election Commission, lying to Congress, and wire fraud. Santos was found guilty of these charges in February 2023 after a three-week trial.
