Waco, Texas – In a disturbing case, Gilbert Andrew Longoria, a 23-year-old man from Santa Rosa, was sentenced to 240 months in prison for distributing child pornography to minors.
Longoria possessed and operated social media accounts on Instagram and Snapchat under the guise of a 15-year-old male seeking nude photos of minor females. He admitted to having approximately 70 images of child pornography from minor females and maintained an online relationship with a 14-year-old female for several months, during which they exchanged nude photos of each other.
The FBI and the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Gloff prosecuted the case.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Longoria was arrested on June 5, 2025, and pleaded guilty to the indicted charge on December 16, 2025.
U.S. District Judge Alan Albright presided over the case. Longoria’s sentence serves as a reminder of the severity of child pornography distribution and the importance of protecting children from online exploitation.
