SACRAMENTO, CA – Two Sacramento men are facing life behind bars after a federal grand jury indicted them on charges of flooding the streets with fentanyl and methamphetamine. Gilbert Ramirez, 25, and Michael Valentino Lovato, 33, were arrested following an investigation that uncovered a significant drug distribution network operating within Sacramento County.
The indictment, unsealed today, details how Ramirez and Lovato allegedly conspired to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine and more than 400 grams of fentanyl between April and July of 2022. Court documents reveal at least five separate instances where the pair directly distributed the deadly opioid, fentanyl, contributing to the ongoing crisis gripping the nation.
