Defendant Sentenced to 30 Months in Federal Prison for Escape

Glynn Ford, 35, a resident of Jackson, Mississippi, has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for escaping from a federal correctional institution in Wisconsin.

According to court documents, Ford was being held at the Federal Correctional Institution-Oxford’s Satellite Camp in Oxford, Wisconsin. During a regular count of inmates on April 23, 2022, Ford was missing. An investigation led by the U.S. Marshals Service, with the assistance of local authorities in California, resulted in Ford’s arrest in Chula Vista, California on October 12, 2022, in connection with a retail theft offense.

Ford had previously been sentenced to 120 months in federal prison after being convicted of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft in the Northern District of Illinois. He pleaded guilty to the escape offense on January 26, 2023. The 30-month sentence will be served consecutively to the remainder of his previous federal sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman prosecuted this case. U.S. District Judge William M. Conley handed down the sentence.
