Fentanyl Trafficking Lands Berkeley County Man in Hot Water
Gregory K. Parr, a 65-year-old Martinsburg resident, has been sentenced to time served for his role in distributing fentanyl in Berkeley County, West Virginia.
According to officials, Parr pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of fentanyl in January 2022. He admitted to selling the potent opioid in November 2020.
The case against Parr was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy D. Helman on behalf of the government. The Eastern Panhandle Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, led the investigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided over the sentencing hearing.
Parr’s guilty plea and subsequent sentencing bring an end to a case that highlights the ongoing struggle against fentanyl trafficking in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
