Gregory Scott Broce, Possession with Intent to Distribute, West Virginia 2020

A Huntington man has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine, federal authorities announced.

According to court documents, Gregory Scott Broce, 49, was stopped by the West Virginia State Police on July 6, 2019, near 11th Avenue and 22nd Street in Huntington. A search of the vehicle revealed multiple baggies containing approximately 10.7 grams of crack cocaine and 3.4 grams of heroin.

Brocе also had digital scales and multiple empty baggies on his person, according to officials.

When stopped by the West Virginia State Police, Brocе had baggies of crack and heroin he intended to sell, said United States Attorney Mike Stuart. Brocе is just the latest drug dealer we’ve taken off the streets of Huntington.

Brocе faces a maximum of 20 years in prison when sentenced on February 22, 2021, according to federal authorities. The West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation, and United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the hearing.

Assistant United States Attorney Ryan A. Keefe is handling the prosecution, which has charged Brocе with one count of possession with intent to distribute heroin and crack cocaine.
