On January 27, 2016, a federal court in California heard the case of Juan Carlos Guevara-Pimentel, a defendant accused of multiple violent crimes. The case, known as Guevara-Pimentel, was filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (CAED Federal District).
Guevara-Pimentel, a 35-year-old resident of Los Angeles, California, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder, one count of murder using a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to the indictment, Guevara-Pimentel had been involved in a violent gang and had committed the crimes as part of a larger conspiracy.
