Pocatello, ID – In a shocking turn of events, Michael William Martindale, 27, of Ammon, Idaho, pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine and heroin with the intent to distribute. This disturbing crime raises serious concerns about the growing problem of drug trafficking in our community.

According to court records, Martindale was stopped by Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office personnel on June 19, 2015. At the time, officers found a sawed-off shotgun, a .38 caliber revolver, baggies of methamphetamine, a balloon containing heroin, a digital scale, oxycodone pills, and other illegal drug paraphernalia. The shocking discovery led to Martindale’s arrest for outstanding warrants and driving without privileges.

During his sentencing hearing, Martindale admitted to possessing the methamphetamine and heroin with the intent to distribute them to others. The court also found him guilty of owning the firearms. This guilty plea is a significant step towards holding Martindale accountable for his crimes.
