Child Pornography Ring Busted in Newport News, VA
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 160 months in prison for receiving and possessing over 600 images of child pornography.
Isaiah Al’Von Holloman, a resident of Newport News, Va., admitted to using online applications, including Facebook, Instagram, and Kik, to obtain child pornography.
According to court documents, federal agents identified Holloman via a Peer-to-Peer network on his computer. On May 29, 2014, members of the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations executed a search warrant at Holloman’s apartment.
Holloman cooperated with the agents and admitted to his crime. A subsequent forensic examination of his devices revealed the shocking amount of child pornography.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa R. McKeel prosecuted the case on behalf of the United States.
Holloman will serve 160 months in prison followed by 25 years of supervised release. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of online safety and the severe consequences of child exploitation.
U.S. District Judge Raymond A. Jackson presided over the sentencing.
This case highlights the need for continued vigilance in the fight against child pornography and online exploitation.
