HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – A Harrisburg man has been handed a harsh sentence for his role in a firearm offense that put the community at risk.
Jacob Eddie Junior Pena, 24, was sentenced to 60 months’ imprisonment to be followed by five years of supervised release for possessing a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking on December 1, 2017, in Harrisburg.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, this offense is a serious crime that can have devastating consequences for individuals and communities.
Pena’s actions were investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from Harrisburg Police. Assistant United States Attorney James T. Clancy prosecuted the case.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and making our neighborhoods safer for everyone.
