Jake Newcomer Pleads Guilty to Sexually Exploiting Ten Teens

SEATTLE – A registered sex offender, Jake ‘Jake’ Harrison Newcomer, 28, pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington to sexually exploiting ten minors aged 12-16. The revelation comes after Newcomer absconded from Department of Corrections Community Custody by cutting off his electronic monitoring device.

Newcomer, who was on state supervision following a 30-month prison sentence for raping a child, admitted to meeting and abusing the victims via social media platforms between February and April 2024. Prosecutors anticipate a 17-year prison term when sentenced by Judge John H. Chun on November 17, 2025.

Records indicate that Newcomer, whose ankle monitor lost connection on January 19, 2024, met the girls in person and provided them with drugs and alcohol before assaulting them. The victims are from various counties in Washington and Woodburn, Oregon, with ages ranging from 12 to 16.

Newcomer’s guilty plea includes charges of Travel with intent to engage in sexual acts with a minor and two counts of attempted enticement of a minor. These crimes carry penalties up to 47 years in prison.

The case has been jointly investigated by multiple agencies, including the FBI and local police departments. Assistant United States Attorney Cecelia Gregson is prosecuting the case under Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative combating child sexual exploitation.

Newcomer’s conviction underscores the commitment of federal authorities to protect children from online predators. For more information on Project Safe Childhood, visit www.justice.gov/psc.
