James Anthony Streadwick, Methamphetamine Distribution Conspiracy, Texas 2016

A Wichita Falls man has been sentenced to 292 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy.

James Anthony Streadwick, 54, of Wichita Falls, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor on February 22, 2016. Streadwick pleaded guilty in October 2015 to one count of conspiracy to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine.

Between September 2014 and December 3, 2014, Streadwick received quantities of methamphetamine from supply sources in Dallas and Wichita Falls, typically obtaining the methamphetamine in multi-ounce quantities. He then sold quantities of methamphetamine to customers in Wichita Falls.

Streadwick further admitted that on December 3, 2014, when a search warrant was executed at his residence, law enforcement seized digital scales, small plastic bags, notes that reflected drug-trafficking transactions, firearms and quantities of methamphetamine.

The Wichita County District Attorney’s Office, the Wichita Falls Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary Walters prosecuted the case.

Streadwick’s sentence was part of a larger methamphetamine distribution conspiracy case that operated in Wichita Falls from approximately March 2014 to August 2015. Eleven of the 13 defendants charged in the case have pleaded guilty to the offense, while two defendants remain fugitives.

Each defendant faces a statutory penalty of at least five years and up to 40 years in federal prison and a $5 million fine.
