Justin Heims, Methamphetamine Conspiracy and Distribution, Louisiana 2024

A Terrebonne Parish man has been found guilty of his role in a major methamphetamine operation in Louisiana.

Justin Heims, 22, pleaded guilty before United States District Judge Wendy B. Vitter on October 22, 2024, to charges related to the distribution and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Heims was involved in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.

Heims also pleaded guilty to distributing 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.

The charges against Heims carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison, in addition to a $10,000,000.00 fine and a $100 mandatory special assessment fee.

The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Houma Police Department, the Louisiana State Police, and the Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Offices.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Maurice Landrieu of the Narcotics Unit.

Heims’ sentencing is set for February 25, 2025.
