Jason Delaney Kiplinger, 36, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, pleaded guilty to Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, a charge carrying a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Kiplinger admitted to knowingly possessing 500 grams or more of a meth-laced mixture on or about February 6, 2017, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The offense, prosecuted under Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1) and 841(b)(1)(A), exposes him to a maximum fine of $10,000,000.00, life imprisonment, or both.
The indictment stems from a coordinated investigation by the Sallisaw Police Department, the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Authorities zeroed in on Kiplinger during a targeted narcotics operation, uncovering evidence of large-scale distribution activity tied to the Oklahoma City area.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Steven P. Shreder, sitting in Muskogee, accepted the guilty plea and ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed before sentencing. That report will shape the final judgment, including potential aggravating factors tied to the quantity and distribution network.
The federal government was represented by Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Hammer, who emphasized the prosecution’s commitment to dismantling high-level drug operations feeding addiction and crime across eastern Oklahoma.
Kiplinger remains in custody pending sentencing. His conviction marks another enforcement strike in a region hard-hit by methamphetamine trafficking, where federal and local agencies continue joint efforts to disrupt supply chains and apprehend dealers moving bulk quantities.
