A 31-year-old Nevada man, Jason Lee Johnson, made his initial appearance in a Las Vegas court on Friday, facing serious allegations of attempting to coerce children to produce sexually explicit content and receiving child sexual abuse material.

According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Jason Lee Johnson, a resident of Las Vegas, is accused of engaging in a heinous crime that puts the safety and well-being of countless minors at risk.

The indictment, unsealed on Friday, charges Johnson with one count of attempted production of child pornography and one count of receipt of child pornography, both federal offenses. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment.
