WASHINGTON – A chilling crime has shaken the Brookland neighborhood of Washington DC. Thirteen-year-old K.B. was shot and killed in the early morning hours of January 7, 2023, outside his home. The alleged perpetrator, Jason Michael Lewis, 41, has finally faced justice.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the motive behind the shooting was the defendant’s confrontation with the juvenile and other youths for apparently tampering with vehicles. This senseless act of violence has left the community reeling and seeking answers.
Jason Michael Lewis turned himself in today on a charge of second-degree murder while armed.
