A 29-year-old Trophy Club man has been locked up for two decades after admitting to distributing depraved child pornography across the internet. Jayce Craft was sentenced to 240 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant in the Eastern District of Texas, marking the end of a grim investigation into his digital trail of exploitation.
Craft pleaded guilty on July 28, 2016, to one count of distribution of child pornography. The charges stem from a digital paper trail that linked him to a cloud storage account overloaded with illegal material. Federal investigators discovered that Craft had uploaded, shared, and received graphic files depicting children—many prepubescent—engaged in sexually explicit and sadistic acts.
The probe began when authorities identified online activity tied to Craft’s identity on a file-hosting platform. A search warrant was executed on September 15, 2015, at his Trophy Club residence. Agents seized multiple electronic devices that revealed a disturbing archive of child sexual abuse material. Craft later admitted the content was not only viewed but actively distributed through email accounts.
Indicted by a federal grand jury on October 14, 2015, Craft faced charges that carried a mandatory minimum sentence due to the severity and nature of the crimes. His plea agreement confirmed that the material involved the most vulnerable victims—children subjected to explicit abuse, some involving masochistic and degrading acts.
The case was handled as part of Project Safe Childhood, the U.S. Department of Justice’s aggressive nationwide crackdown on child sexual exploitation launched in 2006. The initiative unites federal, state, and local law enforcement to target predators operating online and to rescue victims before further harm occurs.
Homeland Security Investigations, the Flower Mound Police Department, and the Trophy Club Police Department led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Marisa Miller prosecuted the case, securing a sentence that reflects the gravity of Craft’s crimes. He will serve his time in federal prison followed by lifetime supervised release.
