El Reno Man Indicted for Firearms Theft in Oklahoma City
Jeffery DeWayne Moseley, 32, of El Reno, Oklahoma, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Oklahoma City with theft of firearms from a federally licensed firearms dealer and with being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, announced U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
On February 20, 2022, Moseley allegedly stole nine firearms from a licensed firearms dealer in Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also accused of being a felon in possession of those same firearms in February 2022. Federal law prohibits convicted felons from possessing firearms.
The case is being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Nichols, Jr. is prosecuting the case.
The public is reminded that these charges are merely allegations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Reference is made to public records for more information.
