Omaha Man Sentenced to 8 Years for Attempting to Receive Child Pornography
A disturbing case of online exploitation has come to an end in Omaha, Nebraska. Jeffrey T. Fenn, Jr., 37, was sentenced to 96 months’ imprisonment for attempting to receive child pornography.
Fenn was accused of befriending a 12-year-old girl while playing an online video game. The two began an online relationship over a popular messaging service, during which Fenn repeatedly asked the girl to send him sexually explicit images. Despite her refusal, Fenn threatened to end the online relationship if she did not comply.
The case was reported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and on January 19, 2017, the FBI Cyber Crimes Task Force served a search warrant on Fenn’s Omaha address. In a shocking admission, Fenn confessed to texting the minor and sending her images.
