Jehovah Horace Dixon, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, Mississippi 2026

A 25-year-old Pearl River man was sentenced to 80 months in prison for possession of firearm by convicted felon in a federal case announced recently.

Jehovah Horace Dixon was found to be in possession of a firearm on the Choctaw Indian Reservation after he had previously been convicted of a felony offense.

According to court documents, Dixon was indicted by a federal grand jury in June 2025 and entered a plea of guilty to the charge on April 28, 2026.

Dixon was sentenced to 80 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release upon his release from prison. He was also fined $1,500.

The conviction was a result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Trails Task Force, which includes officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Choctaw Police Department, Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department, and various state and local law enforcement agencies.

U.S. Attorney J.E. Baxter Kruger commended the work of the Safe Trails Task Force, the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Department, and the Choctaw Police Department in securing the conviction.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Kevin J. Payne, Brian K. Burns, and Special Assistant United States Attorney Kalleigh McCoy.
