Jennifer Ellen Hernandez, Controlled Substance Trafficking, Montana 2023

A federal indictment has shaken the small town of Sidney, Montana as Jennifer Ellen Hernandez, a 40-year-old resident, has been charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

The charges against Hernandez were made public after she appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Cavan in Billings, Montana. Hernandez pleaded not guilty to the charges on December 21 and was released pending further proceedings.

If convicted of the most serious crime, Hernandez faces a minimum mandatory five years to 40 years in prison, a $5 million fine, and at least four years of supervised release. The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.
