Jennifer Gladman-Carnall, Leader of Meth Distribution, Missouri 2018

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jennifer Gladman-Carnall, 37, of Kansas City, Missouri, was sentenced to 11 years and six months in federal prison without parole for her role as the leader of a drug-trafficking organization that distributed more than 45 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Gladman-Carnall, along with her accomplice Michael Keavney, pleaded guilty to their respective charges and were sentenced in separate appearances before U.S. District Judge Roseann Ketchmark.

Gladman-Carnall’s accomplice, Michael Keavney, 42, of Kearney, Missouri, was also sentenced to 15 years and eight months in federal prison without parole for his role as the enforcer of the conspiracy.

According to court documents, Gladman-Carnall was the mastermind behind the operation, distributing more than 45 kilograms of methamphetamine, while Keavney played the role of security for co-defendants and was involved in distributing 2.4 kilograms of methamphetamine.

Keavney’s role in the conspiracy was significant, as he provided security for co-defendants, arranged deals, delivered narcotics, collected money, and arranged the illegal sale of firearms. However, his involvement in the organization came with a price, as he repeatedly violated his pretrial supervision and was eventually remanded to custody.

Keavney’s troubles began when he was driving a stolen motorcycle at excessive speeds and crashed it after attempting to flee from law enforcement. He was found to be highly intoxicated and in possession of a knife and brass knuckles, with toxicology reports indicating that he had opiates, methamphetamine, marijuana, and alcohol in his system.

This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys David Raskin and Matthew Moeder, with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Jackson County Drug Task Force leading the investigation.
