A New Hartford man is headed to federal prison after he failed to appear in court.
Jeremiah Wroblewski, 36, of New Hartford, Iowa, was sentenced to 21 months’ imprisonment after a guilty plea to one count of failure to appear.
The crime took place on September 12, 2014, when Wroblewski failed to appear for a supervised release revocation hearing in U.S. District Court.
On top of his prison time, Wroblewski was also hit with a special assessment of $100 and a 3-year term of supervised release after his prison term is over.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Matthew J. Cole in Cedar Rapids.
Wroblewski is currently being held in the United States Marshal’s custody until he can be transported to a federal prison.
