Kissimmee Woman Faces Up to 20 Years in Prison for Distributing and Possessing Child Sex Abuse Material

Orlando, Florida – In a disturbing case of child exploitation, 34-year-old Jessica Corin Mangano of St. Cloud, Florida, has pleaded guilty to charges of receipt, distribution, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

According to the plea agreement, Mangano distributed and received multiple videos that contained child sexual abuse material. Additionally, Mangano possessed hundreds of videos of child sexual abuse material that involved young children.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson.

This is another case brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project brings together federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue child victims.

Mangano faces a minimum penalty of 5 years, up to 20 years, in federal prison for the distribution and receipt offenses and up to 20 years’ imprisonment for the possession offense. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Jessica Corin Mangano, who resides in St. Cloud, will now face justice for her crimes. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of continued efforts to combat child exploitation and abuse.
