Jevan Antonio Miller, Child Exploitation, Florida 2025

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA – In a shocking case of child exploitation, Jevan Antonio Miller, a 28-year-old Jamaican citizen residing in Thomasville, Georgia, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity and interstate travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

Miller, who pleaded guilty in federal court, was arrested after detectives from the Tallahassee Police Department and the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with Homeland Security Investigations, conducted a joint undercover operation in Leon County. The operation aimed to identify individuals using the Internet to sexually exploit children.

According to court documents, between April 10, 2025, and April 12, 2025, investigators identified Miller, who was soliciting an undercover detective, whom he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, for sex through an online website. Miller drove from Thomasville, Georgia, to a meeting location in Tallahassee, where he was intercepted by law enforcement and immediately arrested.

Miller’s imprisonment will be followed by a five-year term of supervised release, during which he will be required to register as a sex offender. If he violates any of the conditions of his supervision, he may face an additional period of incarceration.

The case involved a joint investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Justin M. Keen.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Launched in May 2006, it marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
