Two Bridgeport men, Kelijah Richardson, 28, and Anibal Rivera, 27, are facing federal charges after allegedly robbing a jewelry store in Clinton, Connecticut, on February 3, 2026. The suspects, wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves, used hammers to break jewelry showcases and stole items worth approximately $184,000.
The FBI New Haven Violent Crimes Task Force, along with state and local law enforcement, has been investigating a string of jewelry store robberies and burglaries in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, with at least 20 cases linked to the suspects between September 2025 and February 2026.
Richardson was arrested on a federal complaint on March 9, 2026, and released on a $250,000 bond. Rivera has been detained since his arrest on a state warrant stemming from a separate robbery in Manchester.
The indictment charges Richardson and Rivera with interference with commerce by robbery, a crime that carries a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
