Cordae Shatwon Jones, Methamphetamine Violation, Pennsylvania 2022

Cordae Shatwon Jones, 27, an Erie resident, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for violating federal drug laws. United States Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced this development in a statement today.

According to information presented to the court, Jones sold a confidential informant 223 grams of methamphetamine for $1,560 at a residence in Erie on or about April 8, 2022. A subsequent search warrant executed by the FBI on April 21, 2022, revealed a stash of cash, drugs, cutting agents, a pill press, and firearms at the residence.

Jones admitted to dealing drugs and owning the guns, which were discovered during the search. He was previously convicted in 2016 of Terroristic Threats and Possession of an Instrument of a Crime.

United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter imposed the seven-year sentence on Jones. Assistant United States Attorney Molly W. Anglin prosecuted the case.

Olshan commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their investigation, which led to the successful prosecution of Jones.

The case highlights the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region. Jones’s conviction serves as a reminder of the severe consequences for those involved in the illicit drug trade.

The sentencing marks a significant milestone in the fight against narcotics in Erie.
