Atlanta Man Sentenced for Unlawful Weapons Possession

Atlanta, GA – Jordan Pack, 35, of Atlanta, has been sentenced to 66 months of incarceration for two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon and one count of unlawful possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Richard S. Moultrie, Jr., Pack continued to possess firearms and commit violent offenses after being previously convicted of a violent felony. The charges and other information presented in court revealed that Pack was convicted of Armed Robbery in the Superior Court of Douglasville, Georgia in October 2008, and was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment.

After being released from prison in April 2018, Pack was arrested on October 22, 2021, for giving false identifying information to a police officer following a motor vehicle collision in Dacula, Georgia. A crossbody satchel that Pack was wearing at the time of his arrest contained live .38 caliber ammunition, and officers later recovered a loaded .38 caliber Taurus revolver under a nearby vehicle.

On June 17, 2022, Atlanta Police Department officers responded to a shooting at a single-family home in Northwest Atlanta, where a female resident reported that Pack had threatened to shoot her and fired multiple shots into the air.

On August 10, 2022, officers with the APD fugitive unit located Pack at an apartment complex in Southwest Atlanta, where he was working as an armed security guard under the alias ‘William Tate.’ Pack was in possession of a Tokarev 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and other firearms, including a .45 caliber Highpoint semi-automatic pistol.

On March 6, 2024, Chief District Judge Timothy C. Batten, Sr. sentenced Jordan Pack to 66 months of incarceration, followed by three years of supervised release. Pack pleaded guilty to the charges on November 12, 2024.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Atlanta Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Joshua May, and former Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jesika French and Norman Barnett, prosecuted the case.
