A 49-year-old man from Philippi, West Virginia, has been accused of possessing over 50 grams of methamphetamine.
Joseph Wayne Dadisman, 49, was indicted on one count of ‘Possession with intent to Distribute Methamphetamine’ in June 2021 in Barbour County.
According to the indictment, Dadisman is accused of having more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, also known as ‘crystal meth’ and ‘ice,’ in June 2021.
This is a serious offense, with Dadisman facing a minimum of 10 years and up to life in prison, along with a fine of up to $10,000,000.
The Federal Sentencing Guidelines will determine the actual sentence imposed based on the seriousness of the offense and Dadisman’s prior criminal history, if any.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen D. Warner is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Mountain Region Drug Task Force and the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
It’s essential to note that an indictment is merely an accusation. Dadisman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
